Records fall in Game 2, fans brawl as James walks by

Listen, I know this isn't a sports site, but this tickles me: there is allegedly a rap track recorded by National Basketball Association superstars and current rivals Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors) and LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) floating around somewhere, as reported by ESPN.

Golden State became the first club in National Basketball Association history to win 14 consecutive playoff games and the Warriors could be in the early years of a dynasty run to match legendary Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers teams.

The Warriors ripped defending champion Cleveland 132-113 Sunday to seize a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven NBA Finals, which now shift to Cleveland for games Wednesday and Friday.

The Cavaliers played significantly better than they did in the first game of the series, but a triple-double from LeBron James, 20 forced turnovers and 15 stealsstill weren't enough to topple the best team in decades.

After giving up 38 points to Durant in Game 1, the Cavaliers had to pay more attention to stopping him when he had the ball, which meant they had to cheat off Thompson and Curry a little bit.

"You take one of the best teams that we had ever assembled previous year, that we saw in the regular season and in the post-season, and then in the off-season you add a high-powered offensive talent like (Durant) and a great basketball IQ like that, that's what stands out", James said.

One figured the Warriors would get an emotional lift if Kerr was able to come back and coach the team again, and the Oracle roar of his return can be seen above.

"Defense, having an awareness where we have to be locked in and you have to be alert at all times", Lue said.

Triple-doubles: Stephen Curry (32 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds) and LeBron James (29 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds) made history Sunday. The Cavs could yet stall the rampaging Golden State Warriors when the Cleveland team goes home for Game 3 on Thursday (Manila time).

"To see him back on the bench was huge", Curry said. Former Sonic Durant contributed 33 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

"I would imagine Kyrie's going to come out and have a great Game 3", Love said.
No other player has more than two. "But that's like the look that I see in him throughout these Finals".

Does defense really win championship?

While the Warriors have three straight seasons of winning at least 67 games, including a record-breaking 73 wins last season, they have just one title to show for it so far. "They won two games, now we have to go home and regroup". "You guys asked me, 'What was the difference?' And I told you". The Cavs trailed by just three points at the half, and after a Kevin Love 3-pointer early in the third quarter, it was still just a five-point game. "So I'm obviously hard on myself and my own biggest critic at times, and that's something that I can control, just being smarter".

Fellow starters Tristan Thompson (eight points, four rebounds) and J.R. Smith (scoreless) were invisible again and no one on the bench stepped up leaving King James helpless for much of the night. He punched at James' groin to earn a suspension for Game 5.

"So it's still a win for us", he said. But for that to happen, Cleveland would be needing to properly tame and temper the sizzling Golden State team.
