Piers Morgan apologies to Ariana Grande for misjudging her

The One Love Manchester concert aired across the globe.

Gallagher and Take That hail from Manchester.

She also returned to the stage to perform "My Everything" with Parrs Wood School Choir.

Piers Morgan has added to his Twitter apology to Ariana Grande with a column in the Daily Mail.

The May 22 attack at Grande's Manchester concert killed 22 and wounded dozens more.

However, Usher wasn't the only artist not to turn up for the One Love Manchester.

"Today's One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater goal", Braun said in a statement.

Perry took the stage in a white minidress and a long furry coat to perform her hits "Part of Me" and "Roar".

"Manchester, we're gonna be all right", she yelled.

The star, who performed his solo tracks Slow Hands and This Town at the gig, said: "It was a great sense of unity at a bad time".

The 38-year-old singer's name was announced in the original lineup for the concert on Sunday, and though he sent in a video message of support that was broadcast during the telecast, some fans were left wondering why he didn't perform. All proceeds from the event will go to the victims and their families.

Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford kicked off the concert with a moment of silence before launching into his band's track, "Timshel".

Perry asked everyone watching - both at Manchester venue Old Trafford Cricket Ground and via television - to make a physical connection with someone next to them. The song includes the lyrics: "But you are not alone in this, and you are not alone in this, as brothers we will stand and we'll hold your hand".

Ariana Grande could barely finish singing the final song at her benefit concert in Manchester today, breaking down into tears.

Scores of fans camped out overnight in advance of the show, and people came down to hand out free food and drinks to those who had been waiting.

"As soon as I met her, I started crying and I gave her a big hug and she said I should stop crying because Olivia would have wanted me to stop crying", Grande told the audience. "Everybody say, 'We honor you.' Everybody say, 'We love you'".
