While Markelle Fultz is not working out for any teams beyond the Boston Celtics, he's not yet a lock to be selected with the first overall pick.
Fultz visited Beantown on Monday to meet with members of the Celtics organization.
Fultz, the 19-year-old guard out of Washington who is now visiting Boston for a reported two-day meeting and workout with the Celtics, passed on an opportunity to work out for the Philadelphia 76ers, who have the No. 3 overall pick.
With a unique package of size, skills and savvy, Fultz is widely considered the frontrunner to go No. 1 overall in the upcoming NBA Draft.
The #Sixers have workouts scheduled for every top prospect besides Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball.
Trade: Boston sends No. 1 overall pick in 2017, both of their second-rounders this year as well as a 2019 first-round pick (which had been acquired from the Clippers) to in for Paul George and Al Jefferson.
Despite the likelihood of Fultz's name being the first one called, the Celtics have stressed they will explore all options with the pick.
