Bethesda Looks to Be Developing a Freemium AAA Game

A new job listing has confirmed that Bethesda is planning to release soon an online multiplayer title. According to the ad, the company is looking for a Montreal Game Performance Manager for a "bleeding-edge AAA freemium game".

According to the job description, the manager in position will "envision, evolve, and operate monetization strategies, targeting the intersection of revenue generation goals and quality player experience".

Bethesda's Pete Hines spoke about their current projects at E3 previous year, confirming that they have three titles in the works. Of course, this could also be another game entirely, and it's unlikely anyone outside Bethesda will know for certain until the studio wants them to.

It is known that Bethesda is now working on a few projects at the moment, according to Bethesda's Game Studios Executive Producer Todd Howard in a recent interview with Glixel. The timing also seems off considering Bethesda is expected to reveal the game at E3 2017 next week and monetization models for the game should already be decided on at this stage of development.

That leaves three more in-development titles, two of which Howard has said are "bigger than everything we've done [before]", and will likely arrive before The Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda has been tight-lipped when it comes to "The Elder Scrolls VI" but fans are hoping to have some news and information to feast on during the E3 event in a week's time.

Bethesda is known for its fascinating IP portfolio, including franchises such as Fallout, Elder Scrolls and DOOM.
