Arsenal agree personal terms with Barcelona midfielder

The Turkish global has thus been tipped to leave Barcelona during the coming transfer window as new manager Valverde is expected to make a huge overhaul in his squad.

Barcelona superstar Arda Turan has reportedly agreed a mega million move to join Premier League club Arsenal this summer.

Although Turan wants to move to Arsenal, Barcelona are holding out to get £26m for him.

Six years ago, Hector Bellerin left Barcelona, as a raw 16-year-old, to join the youth set-up at Arsenal.

Bellerin, who is now on holiday in Formentura, joined Arsenal from Barcelona at the age of 16 and signed a new contract past year tying him to the Emirates until 2023, although the clamour in the Spanish media for his return to the Nou Camp has not subsided. The stories that have come out in the media that he will.

However, the midfielder's representative Bulut has insisted that Turan "is not going anywhere", and will "stay at Barca until 2020".

However, reports in Spain have said Turan, along with defender Jeremy Mathieu, would be allowed to leave for the right fee as new coach Ernesto Valverde looks to reshape the squad.

However Barca are only interested in a straight cash deal for Turan, while Wenger has no intention of parting company with Bellerin after he penned a new long-term deal last season.

Since his debut, Turan has struggled to force his way into the Barcelona midfield, and could now be sold to make space, and free up funds to try to close the gap on newly crowned La Liga and European Champions Real Madrid. And nor has it gone down well with board members at the club.
