Apple unveils watchOS 4, new Toy Story faces and much more

Apple on Monday unveiled a new software update for the Apple Watch that brings new watch faces, additional fitness features, and more. The full release of watchOS 4 will come in the fall, which we expect to be alongside the release of iOS 11.

Federighi cited the utility of Apple's new Metal 2 graphics API for machine learning.

Apple is using Siri to proactively bring information to a new Apple Watch face.

The only major announcement that was made about the Apple TV was that Amazon is finally coming to the users of Apple TV!

Besides, the watchOS 4 also has a new music app, which is aimed at improving the AirPod experience. Glanceable information on the watch face isn't a new concept-plenty of Apple Watch faces include information like date, time, and calendar events. You can also control your music playing during a workout by swiping on the watch and hitting play or pause. Activity, one of the most frequently used apps, will add challenges and inspiration to get to goals.

Apple has also expanded the swim mode, to automatically detect different sets. With watchOS 4, customers doing back-to-back workouts or training for a triathlon can combine multiple workouts to capture overall calorie and time measurements. Brands like LifeFitness, Matrix, TechnoGym, Star Trac, Cybex, Schwinn, and StairMaster, which sell 80 percent of the country's fitness equipment, will start to roll out Apple Watch-integrated equipment this fall. This will work through NFC.

The Apple App Store is also getting a revamp, picking up clues from Apple Music's design which has apparently been successful with the public. We're not so sure about this, but go on... When users get paid, they receive the money in their new Apple Pay Cash™ account and can use it instantly to send to someone, make purchases using Apple Pay in stores and apps, or transfer it to their bank account. Apple's digital assistant will also regularly scan the user's screen to seek out words to add to its speech-recognition algorithms. And the following month, Apple joined the Partnership on AI, an industry consortium established a year ago to promote best practices.

In addition, Apple has developed a kaleidoscope watchface and new character faces to join the Mickey and Minnie Mouse options already available.
