At JFK's centennial, book chronicles presidency, day-by-day

Undersecretary of the Navy Paul Fay sang "Hooray for Hollywood" at a yacht party in 1963 for then-president John F. Kennedy. Kennedy's brother Robert was assassinated on the presidential campaign trail in 1968. USPS Boston Postmaster Nick Francescucci and representatives from the John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site-JFK's birthplace and childhood home-are expected to attend. The celebration will feature readings by CNN chief political correspondent Dana Bash, Golden Globe victor Martin Sheen and "Hamilton" star Christopher Jackson, among others.
A memorial Mass will be held Monday morning for former President John F. Kennedy at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, marking 100 years since JFK's birth.
Boston's John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum held a birthday celebration.
Thousands have gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy on the day he would have turned 100.
Kennedy served as president from January 1961 until he was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963.
Father Mark Hession will deliver the homily for JFK Monday. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier, museum officials said.
Today would have been President Kennedy's 100 birthday.
"There's no one issue or one event that we could do to highlight the different facets of (Kennedy),"said Steven Rothstein, the library foundation's executive director".
The new exhibit at the library features 100 original artifacts, documents and photographs from his personal and political career. "We fundamentally believe that JFK is a visionary who never goes out of style".
Kennedy announces that the United States will prepare to conduct nuclear weapons tests in the atmosphere.
