Donald Trump exits pact-and facts

A top European Union official says the EU and China believe that President Donald Trump made a mistake by pulling the United States out of a landmark worldwide climate agreement.

The mayor of Pittsburgh has censured US President Donald Trump for his use of the city in rationalizing withdrawal from the landmark 2015 global climate agreement reached in Paris. What he did not say - as many had feared - was that he would pull the USA out entirely of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). They spent years negotiating this deal, and they're staying the course - although they are angry that the testy toddler who somehow stumbled into the White House has walked away from the table. "They can do whatever they want for 13 years".

NOT slow down the growth of clean energy jobs in wind, solar, and geothermal - clean energy jobs continue to grow at 17 times the rest of the United States economy, and that won't change.

As soon as it was reported about the USA's withdrawal from the agreement, the head Tesla Motors and SpaceX Elon Musk said that he would leave advisory boards under the administration of the United States president.

The U.S. decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord has bolstered China's stature and diplomatic power, and could help Beijing achieve longer-term ambitions to upgrade its economy and dominate lucrative new industries.

In spite of the fact that Trump plans to withdraw from the Paris agreement, dozens of mayors and governors around the USA are still committed to taking action to prevent the worst effects of climate change that will harm their cities.

The U.S. has contributed more carbon pollution, over time, than any other nation.

"How do you think the USA's exit from the Paris Agreement on climate will affect the implementation of the document?". Without U.S. leadership, achieving the voluntary targets agreed to by the 195 countries that signed the accord will be far more hard.

The Bloomberg group plans to submit its own independent commitment to the Paris accords, but it is unclear how that would work. The chief economist of business-research group The Conference Board said the potential number of jobs that might be created in fossil fuels is limited, while the potential for job growth in green technologies is much greater.

Trump was never expected to offer any cogent reasons for pulling the United States out of the Paris Agreement on climate change, but what he came up with, on Thursday night, was not even factually correct, especially his two references about India.

A number of African countries have expressed alarm at rising sea levels and changing weather patterns that have the potential to further disrupt the agriculture that so many on the world's poorest continent rely on to survive. Therefore, it can commit to net emissions reductions by 26 percent to 28 percent below 2005 levels, as it did under President Obama. Pence insisted the US has already shown "real leadership" and "real progress" by somewhat reducing carbon emissions over the last decade.

We'll see if we can make a deal that's fair.

Trump himself dodged the question Wednesday during an event in the White House, when he merely replied "thank you" and left the room when a reporter asked whether he believed climate change was a hoax. The company said the in good position to compete internationally because of an abundant natural gas supply.

"I think that Russian Federation is doing the right thing by not ratifying the agreement".
