Internet can't handle NBC reporter's question to Modi

Kelly launched her new show for NBC news with an exclusive interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin and PM Modi ahead of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia.

After shaking hands with Putin and Modi, the prime minister praised Kelly's picture on her Twitter account where she is seen posing with an umbrella. "Are you on Twitter?" was her response.

National Broadcasting Company's reporter Megyn Kelly is being trolled on social media platforms for her question to PM Modi.

Following are some of the reactions. Modi looked surprised with her question but he ignored it and just laugh off the ignorant remark instead.

NEW YORK | Megyn Kelly's debut on NBC News this Sunday is a real-life cliffhanger involving Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kelly is followed by 2.31 million people on Twitter while Prime Minister Modi is followed by over 30.3 million followers. However, she did greet Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer.

And if the Trump interview is the template on which she hopes to build NBC News's new Sunday-night beachhead, there's at least some reason for concern. Kelly replied with a broad smile. It's great to be with you, Matt and Savannah'.

'He shed a tear and I shed a tear and I think about him every day now, ' Kelly said of her interview with Vance. Then again, the segment ended on a good note, with Kelly acknowledging Kotb. However, Kelly was slammed on social media for asking such an absurd question.

However, the Quantico star seemed unfazed by the trolling and posted a photo of her flashing some more legs and roped in her mom, Madhu Chopra for the pic. NBC is banking heavily on Kelly, who is said to be making $17 million annually at the network, to become an even bigger star than she was at Fox News. Besides, her contract with Fox has expired.
