She played a memorable supporting role at sister Kate's 2011 wedding, but Pippa Middleton will take center stage Saturday at what looks to be the high society event of the year.
Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (R) arranges the train of her sister Pippa Middleton as she arrives with her father Michael Middleton for her wedding to James Matthews at St Mark's Church in Englefield, west of London, on May 20, 2017.
Many royals were on hand to watch Pippa Wednesday her hedge fund manager fiancé - including her sister Kate, Prince William, and their two children, Princess Charlotte, 2, who served as a bridesmaid, and Prince George, 3, who stole the show as a page boy. On Sunday, the American actress did her best to avoid the cameras - the 35-year-old celebrity fully understands the importance of the day for Pippa and didn't want to steal a limelight. Albeit a royal bride with more impressive guns than the British Army and Madonna combined.
The bride, who looked tanned and toned, had managed to keep her wedding gown a secret until she arrived - a bespoke Giles Deacon wedding gown, crafted to create the impression of being seamless. That was about where the similarities ended. The guests wore the most hatsiest hats they could find.
Pippa Middleton's lavish ceremony wasn't all fun and games for one person - Prince George got a right royal telling off from his mother.
Pippa Middleton arrives for her wedding to James Matthews at St Mark's Church on May 20, 2017 in Englefield Green, England.
The couple walked hand-in-hand along the church path led by a group of young page boys and bridesmaids, including three-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte. Casimir Tatos, Edward Sebire and William Ward were the other pageboys. Prince William and Kate Middleton were there, of course, as was Princess Eugenie.
Prince Harry made a 100-mile dash to pick Meghan up from Kensington Palace on Saturday evening.
The lavish reception is now being held at the Middleton's family home in nearby Bucklebury, where a huge glass marquee has been installed in the grounds to host 300 guests.
