Recent revelations about Jared Kushner could impact his influence with Trump

The FBI is investigating whether any members of Trump's campaign colluded with Russian officials to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

On Sunday, Trump tweeted, "Whenever you see the words "sources say" in the fake news media, and they don't mention is very possibly that those sources don't exist but are made up by fake news writers".

The White House refuses to say whether the President knew. His last day has not yet been determined.

Meanwhile, the White House is shaking up its communications team.

Kelly made the comments on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos", and he reiterated them in two other appearances on Sunday morning news broadcasts.

Dubke previously was a Republican strategist who founded Crossroads Media and had long ties to party establishment figures, including strategist Karl Rove.

The briefing came four days after The Washington Post reported the president's son-in-law and senior adviser tried to set up back-channel communications with the Russians during the transition. But the timing of their meeting has raised questions given allegations by United States intelligence agencies that Russian Federation had worked to meddle in November's election to help Trump.

"He discussed opening a secret line of communications that could be monitored by Russian intelligence but not American intelligence", Don Beyer (D-Virginia) said in a statement, according to Politico. Dubke, who had been in the job just three months, gave no reason for leaving. Trump has privately and publicly pinned some of the blame for his administration's rough start on the White House's communications strategy.

The news site said President Trump was considering more changes, including the possibility of bringing in David Urban, who was a senior adviser on the campaign, as chief of staff. More attorneys with deep experience in Washington investigations are expected to be added, along with crisis communication experts, to help the White House in the weeks ahead. "And even though Jared Kushner isn't blood, he's pretty close to it".

John McCain (R-Ariz.) said he is disturbed by recent media reports suggesting President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner had proposed the creation of a secret backchannel in which the Trump transition team could converse with Moscow.

Trump's national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, said in a press conference Saturday that the USA had backchannels with several countries, suggesting that the matter shouldn't be cause for concern.

Flynn handed in his resignation in February after it was revealed he misled top White House officials about his contacts with Russian officials.

Before his foreign trip, Trump met with former Oklahoma Gov.
