EPL: Harry Kane hits four, Tottenham Hotspur decimate Leicester City

Harry Kane admitted he was eyeing the Premier League golden boot as he scored four in Tottenham's 6-1 thumping of Leicester.

"I wanted to get one or two goals at least and take it to the final game", Kane told Sky Sports.

The England forward's haul moved him two ahead of Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Premier League's golden boot with 26 goals ahead of Sunday's season-finale at Hull.

Spurs finished second behind Chelsea in the league to qualify for the Europe's elite competition but Pochettino says it is not enough to attract "top players" and will instead look to add younger players to the squad.

"Since I came they came to support the team and we were stronger in our stadium".

Son then added his second of the game, producing a fine curling effort as the north Londoners cut through the Leicester backline. To score 30 plus goals again [in all competitions] is a big achievement for me and one I'm very proud of.

"Harry Kane means a lot for the team". Nevertheless, it is a good idea not to bet on the result since the price is not a good one. "In October and November we dropped a lot of points and it was hard to catch Chelsea", the Argentinean added.

Kane is in the form of his life with Tottenham as he sits on top of the Premier League scoring charts with 26 goals.

Harry Kane scored four times as Tottenham produced another superb performance to sweep aside Leicester City.

Kane has 32 goals in all competitions while Son Heung-min has 21 along with Dele Alli - the first time three Spurs players have scored over 20 in a season.

The 23-year-old would surely have scored more than 40 if he hadn't missed two chunks of this season with ankle injuries, and Pochettino spoke glowing about Kane's appetite for success.

"I think there were three games I did not score in [at the start of the season] and then I went on a good run".

Tottenham moved to 83 points on the season, two more than Leicester's title-winning total a year ago.

'We were talking a lot about the holidays after the worldwide games (in June)'.

"His will to improve and learn is the most important thing in a player".

"I don't know, you'll have to ask the owners about that", he said.

"I have to take some responsibility for that after changing the formation. if you get beat 6-1, there's no positives".
