Osinbajo attends G7 summit in Italy

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday departed Nigeria to attend the ongoing Group of Seven (G7) summit in Italy.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said that Africa is undeterred by the failures of the past, and that the continent is motivated by the incredible energy and talent of its bustling youthful population.
"They are daily taking advantage of innovation and technology bringing about the Africa of our dreams", he said.
Africa, according to him, is undeterred by the failures of the past.
Osinbajo assured the G7 countries of the unity of Africa in terms of trade, counter terrorism and strengthening democracy.
On the country's progress, he stated that progress has been made as to the increase in rice yield and distribution of fertilizer subsidies.
He said the participants were recruited online in all 36 states and FCT mostly using mobile platforms.
The visit to the market, which was one of the activities to mark the two years anniversary of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, was meant to enable Osinbajo interact with traders and get first-hand information on the current cost of goods and other food items in the market.
"AgP Osinbajo invited to ongoing G7 summit in Italy to represent Nigeria, leaves this morning and is expected back later in the evening today", Akande tweeted.
The Acting President whose speech was read by the Kogi State commissioner for Youth and Sports Arome Adoji said that government agencies and private sector employers are to assign challenging responsibilities to corps members during their primary assignments.
