Molly Peters, Former Bond Girl, Dies at 75

A cause was not immediately available, but her death was announced by the official Twitter page for the James Bond movies.

Actress Molly Peters has died at the age of 75, it has been confirmed.

Peters began her career as a model before being discovered by director Terence Young, who cast her as the nurse Partricia Fearing opposite Sean Connery's Bond in 1965's Thunderball.

It shared a photo of blonde beauty Molly with the caption: "We are sad to hear that Molly Peters has passed away at the age of 75".

A number of scenes featuring the pair were ordered to be cut by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) after being deemed too racy for audiences.

Peters lived in Ipswich, Suffolk with her husband, with whom she had a child who had since passed away.

According to a commentary on the DVD release of "Thunderball", Peters' career faltered due to a disagreement over a binding contract with her agent.

Her other film credits include "Target for Killing" and "Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River".

She was preceded in death by her son.

Her death comes a week after Roger Moore, who stepped into the role of 007 in the James Bond movies after Connery, died at 89 following a short battle with cancer.
