BSEB Results: Bihar Board 12th Results 2017 Intermediate @ 11 AM

Bihar School Examination Board holds and conducts examinations (BSEB Results) in Bihar state for Secondary School stage, for prescribing the course of studies for such examination.

Last year, 62.19 per cent of the students passed the Intermediate exam. The only silver lining was that 73.76 per cent students appearing in the Commerce stream exams passed. The goal is to ease the workload of the existing two examination controllers who conduct the Class X and Class XII examinations, Kishor said.He also announced that the BSEB employees and pensioners would get the benefits of seventh Pay Commission after the state government notifies it.

The, results, however were "out" past year itself when the topper scam blew the lid off a nexus of corruption in Bihar's education system.

Sample this: Of the total 12,40,168 students who appeared in the Class 12 examination (Science, Commerce and Arts streams altogether) this year, as many as 7,94,622 students failed to clear the examination.

"For the first time, bar code was used with answer sheets to ensure a fair evaluation. There was an invigilator for every 20 students and they had to give an undertaking that they had properly frisked students", a board official said.

"The intention of the state government is to conduct cheating-free exam.we want that merit should come ahead.we just can not pass undeserving students", he said.

Principal Secretary of education department R.K. Mahajan as well as BSEB chairman Anand Kishore have admitted that the poor pass percentage is a result of strict measures against cheating in exams.

Ruling JD-U spokesperson Neeraj Kumar defended the strict measures against cheating.

This year though such aspiring toppers had little chance of manipulating the results.

"Invigilators were not allowed to take their mobile phones inside the examination centre. We have constituted a transparent system", said Chaudhary. She got into trouble after a sting by a TV news channel showed her giving ludicrous answers to elementary questions related to her subjects. The SIT arrested him with the help of local police in the Vaishali district of Bihar.
