Auburn baseball heads to NCAA Tournament, earns 3-seed in Tallahassee Regional

The Wildcats have been in the national seed conversation for several months now, but a 1-4 finish down the stretch has opened the door for other teams to earn a bid.

Oregon State (49-4) set a conference record with 27 league wins and was the nation's most dominant team all season.

Michigan, which finished the regular season in second place in the Big Ten with a 16-8 league record, is one of five Big Ten teams in the NCAA field, joining Indiana, Big Ten Tournament victor Iowa, Maryland and Big Ten champion Nebraska.

The Clemson Tigers breathed a collective sigh of relief Sunday night with the announcement that they were selected as one of the 16 regional host sites for the NCAA Tournament. The top-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks (42-17) and fourth-seeded Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (42-14) will meet Friday evening at 7 p.m.in the other regional pairing.
