Atletico Madrid deny news that Antoine Griezmann has asked to leave

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that United's interest in the Atletico Madrid forward is still there, but Mourinho is now prioritising moves for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, and Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.

Griezmann is expected to make a decision on his future next week with Manchester United eager to get their man before embarking on their United States tour.

Antoine Griezmann has not told Atletico Madrid he wants to leave, a club spokesperson has revealed to Sky Sports News HQ.

Recent reports have claimed that the France worldwide is a target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Paul Pogba has sparked further rumours over the potential arrival of Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann was expected to prolong his stay at Atletico in order to play in the famous white and red strip at their new stadium however, it seems like he has chose to push for a move.

In all competitions, the 26-year-old has played 160 games in which he scored 83 goals and had 25 assists.

"It's up to Antoine Griezmann to decide what he wants to do with his future", Saul said in a chat with Spanish tabloid, Marca.

Griezmann himself has insisted that he is happy at Atletico Madrid, but indicated that his future at the club is uncertain, revealing that his agents are now in talks with the club.

The injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the lacklustre form of Wayne Rooney has probably given the club more reasons to justify their hot pursuit of Griezmann.

If Griezmann goes, we have [Fernando] Torres, [Kevin] Gameiro, [Angel] Correa, [Yannick] Carrasco.
