Actress Keri Russell to Receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Kimmel, 49, couldn't let the "disaster of a boyfriend" comment go, though - and wanted more details.

"Felicity" creator J.J. Abrams lauded Russell's talent during the ceremony, describing her as someone who shied away from the limelight and one of the "sweetest" people he knows.

"There was a chia pet vibe", said Russell as Speedman gave her a friendly squeeze on the arm and said that it grew into something great and everyone "recovered" from it. Kimmel tried to steer the conversation back to Speedman being a "disaster of a boyfriend" but Russell just said he was a boyfriend who was in his early twenties.

"I don't know if you heard, but Keri has a message for you", Kimmel told Speedman.

In the summer of 1999, after filming the first season, Felicity star Keri Russell-known for what The NY Times described as "that glorious head of voluminous golden backlit hair"-sent the show's producers a photo wearing a short-haired wig". "And I got to work and she turned around the corner and my face sort of froze in a half panic, half smile sort of situation". It's so special to be a part of this.

Actor Keri Russell laughs before unveiling her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles May 31, 2017.

"Getting attention is not her strong suit", Abrams said of the shy actress during his heartfelt speech. "I just didn't pull it off and she called me out".

Russell, 41, attended the ceremony with Matthew Rhys - her co-star, real-life partner and father of her 11-month-old son, Sam. Russell also has two children with her ex-husband, Shane Deary - son River and daughter Willa. "I really don't think so", Speedman admitted, though it's not for lack of interest.
