AAP MLAs, Mishra clash inside Delhi Assembly

Suspended AAP leader Kapil Mishra was on Wednesday manhandled by some AAP legislators, creating a commotion in the Delhi assembly. "This is the first time that a legislator has been assaulted by legislators inside the assembly", Mr Mishra said.Mr Mishra, who was sacked as a minister earlier this month, has been relentlessly targeting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whom he has accused of corruption. The Speaker then observed that this was not in keeping with the dignity of the assembly and asked marshals to remove Mishra.

Mishra said he would raise the attack issue with Lt Governor Anil Baijal and on June 3, at the Constitution Club here he would present before the people the documents to prove wrongdoings by Kejriwal and Jain. He had visited the Delhi assembly today after a while and his Moto was to speak about the corruption in the assembly. Steering clear of the controversy, Speaker Ram Niwas Goel maintained that the incident was "unfortunate". Kapil was marshalled out of Delhi Assembly after a "scuffle" broke between him and other Aam Admi Party MLAs. "I can also take action against this", Goel said.

Before the marshals could reach Mishra, he was manhandled by Aam Aadmi Party members.

"The manhandling of former Minister Kapil Mishra clearly tells that Kejriwal & his Party are not open to any dissent or opposition". As I got up from my seat, they started hitting me. "I have also sustained injuries on my hand", Mishra said.

Mishra had alleged that Health Minister Satyendra Jain gave Rs. two crore "illegal cash" to Kejriwal at the latter's official residence and helped "fix" land deals worth Rs 50 crore for Kejriwal's relatives.

Mishra told media that he was trying to throw light on an alleged "medicine scam". I am deeply disturbed with the incident.Kapil has been waging war against Delhi CM Arvind Kerjriwal and vowed to "expose" Kejriwal.
