Veteran Telugu film director Dasari Narayana Rao dies at 75

The 75-year- old director Come Producer was admitted in KIMS Hospital and slowly he recovered and was shifted home.The filmmaker was undergoing treatment at the KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.

Rao was admitted to the KIMS hospital in Hyderabad on January 29 after he complained of respiratory problems. In the past, he underwent Gastric Balloon surgery. With several organs in his body getting infected as a result of surgeries, doctors are waiting for his response to dialysis to release a health bulletin. The doctor's noticed significant spikes in Dasari's blood pressure today as they waited for positive news. He breathed his last today evening. He was well acclaimed for directing more than 151 films and having produced over 53 films, for which he even holds a Limca World Record.

Actor Rajinikanth tweeted, "Shri Dasari Narayana Raoji, my dearest and closest well-wisher and friend.One of the greatest directors of India.His demise is a loss to the whole Indian film industry".

Some of his best films include Premabhishekam, Meghasandesham, Osey Ramulamma and Tata Manavadu.

Dasari Narayana Rao suffered from infection in lungs and kidneys.

Actor Kamal Haasantweeted, "My sympathy and condolences to the family of Daasari NaryaNa rao.His loss is truly a big loss for Telugu cinema". In 2006, Rao also became the Minister of State for Coal.

The National Award-winning filmmaker directed over 150 films and producing 50 others.

Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said he was shocked by the death of Dasari Narayana Rao.
