Fearless Girl Statue Briefly Protested By Pissing Pug Statue

A New York City sculptor, Alex Gardega, claims he put a statue of a dog right next to the "Fearless Girl" that was placed across from the iconic "Charging Bull" earlier in the year.

According to the Post, Gardega says he's pro-feminism but calls the Fearless Girl "corporate nonsense". Gardega said he made his dog statue particularly poorly to "downgrade the [Fearless Girl] statue".

"Most people were amused or perplexed by it", Gardega told NBC News.

Mayor Bill De Blasio extended the Fearless Girl's tenure to nearly a full year, as she has proven popular with tourists, much to Di Modica's dismay.

Fearless Girl was erected in the charging path of the famous bull statue in March, attracting hordes of selfie-snapping tourists and the likes of Elizabeth Warren and other politicians. "That bull has integrity".

The Upper West Sider told the Post that he didn't put a lot of work into the pug statue as an extra sign of disrespect. Gardega added that "Fearless Girl" is only a publicity stunt for the financial firm that commissioned to have it installed.

Like her, it stood in defiance, albeit briefly, but it was in such defiance of "Fearless Girl's" powerful stance for women's equality in the corporate world that it stood with one leg lifted to urinate on her.

Many people who passed by the new statue thought it was misogynistic. He created a statue of a small dog, titled "Pissing Pug", which has the small canine lifting its back right leg and taking aim directly at the girl's left leg. "There is plenty of room for 'Fearless Girl.' It just interferes with another artist's work/vision". It has since become a visible symbol of Wall Street and the financial industry. But after just a few hours, the "Pissing Pug" was removed.
