Ariana Grande Promises To Return To Manchester For A Benefit Concert

Hashim Abedi, brother of Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi, who has been detained in Tripoli along their father Ramadan.

The Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace, a draw for tourists, was cancelled because it requires support from police officers, which authorities decided was not a good use of police resources given the threat level.

Twenty people remain in "critical care" in hospitals across Manchester, with victims suffering from lost limbs and major organ damage. His older brother, 23-year-old Ismail, was arrested by Manchester police on Tuesday.

A relative told AFP that Abedi had travelled to Manchester from Libya four days before the bombing.

"We are furious. This is completely unacceptable", a government ministry source said of the images "leaked from inside the USA system".

French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said Abedi had "likely" been to Syria after the trip to Libya, citing information provided by British intelligence services to their counterparts in Paris. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility, though British authorities have not determined whether he was truly associated with them or received any assistance while building his bomb or plotting his crime.

The latest controversy surrounding leaks comes as European security officials have been expressing concern about sharing intelligence with the USA after Trump discussed highly classified intelligence - apparently from an Israeli source - about the Islamic State group with senior Russian officials visiting the White House.

A relative in Libya said Abedi was driven by what he saw as unjust treatment of Arabs in Britain and was particularly upset by the killing previous year of a Muslim friend whose death he believed went unnoticed by "infidels" in the United Kingdom.

The UK Independence Party was the first party to announce it would resume campaigning.

It's less about her and her own state, and it's more about them.

Lapan said the Homeland Security Department has shared some information about Abedi's travel with the British government, but declined to offer specifics.

Asked whether the USA leaks had compromised the investigation, she said: "I wouldn't go that far but I can say that they are perfectly clear about the situation and that it shouldn't happen again".

Britain raced Thursday to track down a jihadist network suspected of orchestrating the Manchester concert attack, while a row escalated between London and Washington over leaked material from the probe.
