Spieth charges, Kisner holds on to win Colonial by 1 stroke

Kevin Kisner discarded his bridesmaid tag when he sank a clutch, five-foot putt for par to seal a one-stroke victory at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday.

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell is two shots off the lead after a superb recovery on the back nine saw him follow up his first-round 66 with a level-par 70. Simpson and Piercy carded 66s and Kisner signed for a 67.

Americans Stewart Cink (66) and Kevin Kisner (70) were three off the pace, while defending champion Jordan Spieth (68) and Masters champion Sergio Garcia (71) were five behind.

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell is alone in ninth, two shots adrift. She's finished in the top 10 three times this season, including the past two events.

Andrew Dodt of Australia will take a one-stroke lead into the final day of the BMW PGA Championship at Virginia Water, Surrey, England, after shooting a 4-under 68 in the third round on Saturday.

"It's been tricky with the wind", Casey said. "Fairways are not easy to hit".

"I hung in there coming in", he said.

Feng, a bronze medalist for China at the 2016 Olympics, led by four strokes with four holes to play, but she made a bogey on No. 16 and Lee birdied 17.

Spieth, who grew up in nearby Dallas, is also at four-under after 54 holes after he shot a two-under 68 yesterday.

Lee's round featured seven birdies and a bogey and was the low round of the day. He made a 15-footer for quadruple bogey, and finished with a 73 to miss the cut at 5 over. "We went bogey-free, 2 under", Spieth said. He began the day with a pair of birdies on Nos.

"Michael went down with heat exhaustion, when we were walking down the 11th he said 'this is my last hole.' I thought he was acting a little odd, a little quiet". "That's what we needed to see. I love the golf course and being in that position". He hit just 61.1 percent of his greens in regulation and two-putted a number of makable birdie attempts. "I feel like that's starting to happen more, where I'm part of the conversation of contending".

"I'm playing well. I'm just either not catching the breaks or my short game is just a little off".

Casey started the third round one shot behind four co-leaders.

Two-time major victor Spieth produced his best golf of the tournament to push Kisner all the way. Singh and Andrade were eight shots better than the field average. There were 33 under-par scores in the final round from the 72 players. The cut at 4-over 144 was the highest at this tournament since 1999. "Everybody was questioning if I was ever going to win. It did become a good year for me". The British distance specialist, who won Olympic gold in both the 5,000 and 10,000 at the Rio Games a year ago, plans to retire from track races after the World Championships in London this August. That gave me the great motivation to carry these great rounds over.

"I'm looking forward to not only tomorrow but the rest of the season".

NOTES: J.J. Spaun and Camilo Villegas of Columbia withdraw before the second round.

The 54-year-old Singh made three more birdies on par 5s to shoot a 4-under 67 at President Donald Trump's course on the shores of the Potomac River. Kim took an 8 on the hole. He placed 12 in the U.S. Open.
