For the third straight season, the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors swept all three of their playoff series, winning by an average of 16 points per game. When you listen to the nonsense, then you start to really let it take control of your thoughts, that's (not good), you know what I'm saying?
Tyronn Lue, who led the Cavs to a franchise-first National Basketball Association title, reckons the underdog title does not serve as a motivation for his team since they're trying to repeat as champions. He played just 18 minutes in game two while playing through the lingering pain. The David Blatt-led Cavs were a shell of themselves, though, without Kevin Love for the entirety of the series and Kyrie Irving for the final five games. However, Love is averaging an impressive tally of 17.2 points and 10.4 rebounds this postseason while shooting an impeccable.475 from the three-point range.
The Cavaliers won the Central Division over the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers by 9 games. In Game 2, he scored 53 points - one shy of John Havlicek's franchise record.
The NBA Finals has its first "three-match", courtesy of a King who passed His Airness. So whatever they have to do to continue to play at not just a normal level, at an MVP level, that's what I've been on them doctors about, and everybody on that training staff is.
The large spread could be viewed as surprising, considering the Cavaliers are 12-1 in this postseason, just a notch below the Warriors' 12-0.
The injury knocked the Boston point guard out of the Eastern Conference finals in Game 2. Kevin Durant, who came over from Oklahoma City after last season is scoring 25.2 points per game. The Warriors have one, but their historic season unraveled past year when a combination of LeBron's utter dominance, Draymond Green's suspension, Andrew Bogut's injury (that one was underrated as an issue) all came together to snatch victory from their hands (and help cement LeBron'sa legacy). Golden State has won 258 games in the regular season over the last four seasons.
For the record, James feels quite confident about evening his career Finals record to 4-4 with a win over Golden State.
From trying to emulate Jordan's fadeaway jump shot to copying his uniform quirks, James said, "I did pretty much everything MJ did when I was a kid". Now, whether or not you believe James' Cavs teams or Heat teams have been more dominant in the conference playoffs, for Cleveland to keep pace with Miami it must find a way to defeat the stacked Warriors in the upcoming Finals. When you are making a bet on this series, look at the Golden State Warriors. The Cavs set an National Basketball Association record by winning their 13th consecutive series closeout opportunity.
