Bajaj Electricals Q4 profit up 9% to Rs 38 crore

Bajaj Electricals' revenue from the engineering and products division increased 2.8 per cent to Rs 667.21 crore compared to Rs 648.74 crore in the year-ago period.

NTPC on Monday posted 25.54 per cent year-on-year fall in net profit for the March quarter, thanks to an impairment loss of Rs 783 the company incurred during the quarter under review.

Power Grid said revenue from its transmission business over 18 per cent in Jan-Mar to Rs 6,648.5 crore while revenue from its consultancy arm fell over 10 per cent Rs 152.49 crores.

For the Q4 FY 2016-17, unaudited profit before exceptional items and tax is Rs. 3,790.90 crore as compared to Rs. 3,648.31 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year registering an increase of 3.91%. The gross power generation of the company was up at 250.31 billion units (BUs) in 2016-17 compared to 241.97 (BUs).

Standalone net profit in 2016-17 was down at 9,385.26 crore from Rs 10,769.60 crore in the previous fiscal.

In addition to the interim dividend of Rs0.80 already paid, the board has recommended a final dividend Rs0.78 per share (face value of Rs2 each) for 2016-17 at its meeting held today.

NTPC has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2017. Thus, total dividend for the Financial Year will be 47.80% of the paid-up capital of the Company i.e Rs.4.78 per share.
