Eden Hazard would sacrifice pay rise so Romelu Lukaku can return

Diario Gol believe that Real Madrid are ramping up their attempts to sign Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard, but the Premier League champions do not appear to be keen on parting with their prize possession.

Chelsea have reportedly made the signing of Lukaku one of their priorities for the summer, and Hazard has joked that his own contract could get in the way of his Belgium team-mate's potential return to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has insisted that he is not concerned about whether people regard him amongst one of the best players in world football.

'At this moment, there's nothing on the table. "We're waiting for the end of the season", he told Belgian publication Het Nieuwsblad. I don't know if I am top five, top 10, top 20. "Then I will see".

Hazard, 26, has recovered from a poor season in 2015-16 to help Chelsea to the Premier League title this season, and the Blues could seal the Double with victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Saturday. I'm happy at the club.

'When I'm back from the national team, we'll have time to talk and see what's possible'.

Lukaku, who scored 25 league goals for Everton this term, is under contract with the Toffees until 2019.

"Er, no. They were talking a little bit, but not with me personally", Hazard said, as per the Telegraph, when asked whether Arsenal tried to sign him before Chelsea.

"We have this new manager, we have a couple of young players, so everything is ready to build something". "It's an incredible season for us, the coach, all the fans and the whole club".
