What is marks moderation policy?

Students however should note that a delay of 15-30 minutes is possible as result data uploading takes a lot of time. The court had noted that the CBSE had chose to do away with the moderation policy after the students had taken the examinations.

A total of 19,85,397 students from Classes 10 and 12 have registered for the exam out of which 10,98,891 are from Class 12. However, the court has now ordered CBSE to retain the system this year and calculate the marks of the students accordingly.

CBSE has advised the public not to visit Board's office for collection of results as it will not be available there.

They come after the government's controversial announcement - following the exams - that it would scrap the marks moderation policy.

Once the CBSE Class 12 results are declared, the students will be given chance for Re-evaluation/Rechecking. The Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar had said that proper marks should be given on the bases of credit instead of schools pushing for the highest possible marks.
