Jose Mourinho sends message to Man United supporters about Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera thinks Jose Mourinho's men will need the help of injured veterans Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ashley Young as they bid for Europa League glory against Ajax.

Ibrahimovic's predicament at United was plunged further into doubt following a knee ligament injury sustained against Anderlecht that will keep him sidelined for around nine to twelve months.

"When you win, you are always good, you don't feel even more pain", Ibrahimovic added.

As for Wednesday night's game, Ibrahimovic expressed his regret at not being able to take part in the game but insisted that the victory was the "most important thing".

"I had a different role, I supported the team, but what matters is that we won".

The 35-year-old made 46 appearances in all competitions for the Europa League champions this season, scoring 28 goals.

"I think it's so unfair what happened to him", Mourinho told reporters after the game.

Ander Herrera has been accused of diving, provoking players and trying to get opponents sent off - but in a good way. He can not stop scoring.

None of Herrera, Valencia or Pogba ended up on the winning sides in their previous European finals and the former is driven by the disappointment he suffered at this stage five years ago. They were playing behind the bench, shouting and doing everything.

"It is one game, one trophy".

Can Zlatan really prosper in the MMA with only the unique set of striking skills that the taekwondo offers? That is what will be in my mind. "The reason we have won two titles [Community Shield and EFL Cup] this season is because everyone has been there, working, helping. That is what this club is about".
