FA Cup Final: Danny Welbeck praises Arsenal spirit in win over Chelsea

Antonio Conte will be seeking a double in his first season as head coach when the Premier League winners face Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Their manager, Arsene Wenger has soldiered on through weeks of fan protests throughout the season, and his persistence has been awarded today with a record 7th FA Cup title for the 67-year-old Frenchman. Our defensive problems are keeping me up at night, and I can't see how we could possibly stop Chelsea from scoring at least two, which means we need to grab three!

Chelsea struggled immensely to cope with Arsenal's intensity and impose themselves, with the Gunners arguably producing their best 45 minutes of 2016-17.

Chelsea have only 7 wins in the FA Cup final, the last in 2012.

Tens of thousands of supporters descended on the venue to watch Saturday's match between Arsenal and Chelsea, in the first major city event since the terror attack on Manchester arena which left 22 dead and injured dozens more on Monday.

"They only have this possibility to find a good season after a win in the FA Cup", he said ahead of this match.

Star striker Diego Costa will lead the line for the West Londoners in what could potentially be his last game before he moves on to play in China or back to Atletico Madrid. Conte was lauded for his switch to 3-4-3 earlier in the campaign which ultimately facilitated a League title success.

"It is an important game, but I don't want to forget what happened in Manchester".

Just as the season reached its climax, Arsenal turned in the type of tenacious display lacking so often, and against a side so commanding in the Premier League in Antonio Conte's first season in charge.

"The lack of respect in some stage has been for me a disgrace, and I will never accept that". The way we have to do things together, to improve the squad and the team. "People with responsibility have to make the right decision".

"There's only one way to do that, by winning and celebrating, to drink a bit of champagne". We deserve it and I'm happy for the boys. "Arsenal have a lot of great players and for this reason we must pay great attention".

"We feel more compact even in the middle and accepting sometimes "Just defend, just defend". Thus, both Chelsea and Arsenal should be ready for a fight to the end.
