Carrie Fisher would have led next 'Star Wars' before her sudden death

Oscar Issac recently went on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert for an interview that has everything you could ever want, including incredible anecdotes about Carrie Fisher, childhood movie clips, dad jokes, and geeking out about Shakespeare interpretations as the actor prepares for his debut as Hamlet in NY this summer. Not giving too much away, Issac says he has a "large amount" of scenes with Fisher. "I remember the first day of shooting was a scene with Carrie, and you know often times that first day, everybody is trying to get the tone and figure it out".

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in theaters on December 15, 2017. The movie stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Benicio DelToro, Adam Driver and late Carrie Fisher. It's been announced she will not be appearing in "Star Wars: Episode IX" and Disney CEO Bob Iger has made clear there are no plans to bring Fisher's Leia to the screen via CGI in future "Star Wars" films.
On Thursday, the actor went on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and teased out some more details about that scene with Fisher. Colbert then asked if Isaac shared any scenes with Fisher, and the answer was quite a few. She is the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, a very famous Hollywood couple.
