After sealing the victory in Europa League, formerly known as UEFA Cup, Man United have joined Ajax, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Juventus in an elite band of teams to have won all three UEFA's major club trophies, namely European Champion Clubs' Cup/Champions League, UEFA Cup/Europa League, and European Cup Winners' Cup.
As Mourinho celebrated a fourth European title from four finals, the Portuguese tactician revealed doubts about himself.
"We don't want this in the world, we want a world of respect and I know we are just football players, but we have some audiences so from here I just want to say to everyone to work together for a normal world".
"But this cup makes the city of Manchester a little bit happier?"
"It was hard to train yesterday, really, really hard for us".
"We have the honour of going to the European Super Cup to play the Champions League victor".
Reminders of the attack were everywhere at Stockholm's Friends Arena, from United's black armbands to the chants of " Manchester!" from their fans, while Pogba, too, was grieving, following the recent death of his father.
"Yesterday we didn't want to have the press conference because we had to prepare ourselves to do our job and to try to forget events which are much more important than our job", he said referrring to the decision to cancel the news conference.
Manager told us only thing we can do is win it for them, that's what we've done.
Pogba also said that United have managed to shut up their critics by adding the Europa League to the EFL Cup and Community Shield trophies they have already won this season.
Man United put on huge pressure after the opening whistle on the Dutch side, who nearly gifted their opponents a lead one minute into the game. We came here with one option - to win the trophy that the club had never won and we did it so we are happy. We weren't good enough.
Jose Mourinho has dismissed Ajax manager Peter Bosz's suggestion that the Europa League final was a "boring" encounter.
"Often, to win finals you must first lose them. We went out focused to win and we won for Manchester and the country", Pogba, who was also playing at the Stade de France on the night of the November 2015 Paris attacks, told BT Sport. The club earned 6.5 million euros ($7.29 million) for beating Ajax, three million mor than their opponents, and will collect 12.7 million euros for entering the group stage of the Champions League.
"It means a lot as it is my first European trophy with United and after what happened yesterday it is nice to bring a trophy back for Manchester", Mata told reporters.
