Apple's new webpage, titled "Switch from Android to iPhone", promotes how "Life is easier on iPhone".
Currently, the most expensive iPhone Apple sells is its iPhone 7 Plus $969, while the base model iPhone 7 comes in at $649. Yet, Milunovich believes that iPhone 8 will have a fair share of sales next year, which can reach up to 45%, even with the presence of two new upgrades on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus upgrades which is believed to be called iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.
Sales of iPhones had been declining over the past few quarters before they rebounded during the first quarter, which included the holidays. Just like the iPhone 8, these models are also likely to use Samsung's OLED panels.
Apple's efforts to get back in the race have been prevalent since they launched the Move to iOS app on Google Play store, which enables Android users to move their device files to their new Apple iPhone seamlessly. Samsung is rumored to be the OLED supplier for the iPhone 8, with a contract for 70 million displays reportedly signed months ago.
With the next iPhone looking at a distant launch date, Apple has put a respectable amount of effort in drawing potential customers of glamorous 2017 Android flagship smartphones.
Are you getting excited about the iPhone 8, the next version of Apple's smartphone that's widely expected to arrive this fall?
As always, though, there's no way to know what Apple will do for sure until the company tells us itself, so we'll have to wait until next year, and then the year after, to know if these massive OLED screens will really be coming to our future phones. Aside from that, Apple has also renewed its apple.com/switch microsite adjacent to the new campaign in order to turn Android users into iPhone owners.
Apple is now selling five models of the iPhone including iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone SE. Apple has a 52-week low of $91.50 and a 52-week high of $156.65.
Although it seems silly to consider the 2018 iPhone whilst we are still deep in rumors about the iPhone 8, Apple as a company works on much longer timelines. "It's that easy", followed by the apple.com/switch URL.
Apple's move comes as its grip on the smartphone market climbed slightly in the last three months of 2016, according to research firm Gartner, but not almost as much as Google Android's share of the market.
