Terry: I haven't ruled out retirement after Chelsea

― Reuters picLONDON, May 16 ― Departing captain John Terry led his Chelsea champions to a rip-roaring 4-3 victory over Watford yesterday, scoring the first goal on an evening of celebration, fireworks and streamers rather than vintage football at Stamford Bridge.

"It depends if the right offer comes along then I will sit and consider it with my family, whether it's here or overseas, but I haven't made any decisions yet and I am just evaluating my options".

"No, he should absolutely not retire", Conte added.

"Otherwise he stays here".

"When you have this type of player it is great for the coach". "So far we have worked nine months together, but now the players know my idea and trust in my work, I think we can get better". Chelsea will be always his home.

Terry has said before that he would like to carry on playing but last night suggested that Sunday could be his final game.

Watford held a guard of honour for Chelsea before kick-off yet were unable to prevent them emerging victorious at Stamford Bridge. When I say that to people, they don't really understand it.

There was an element of good fortune about Terry's goal on his first league start since September. "But I am Chelsea through and through and sitting there watching my club go on to do what they have done this year has been fantastic", Terry told the club's official website.

Outgoing John Terry as well as Michy Batshuayi, Cesc Fabregas and Cesar Azpilicueta all hit the scoreboard, pipping Watford in the 88th minute of the game.

"We conceded three goals but we scored four and created many chances".

"We won 29 games in this league".

Striker Diego Costa was on the substitutes' bench and spotted in the media room adjacent to the tunnel at half-time, perusing the cheese board. "The most important thing is to win the league, but then you can write some records. that's important for the history". It's a great achievement.

At a club accustomed to buying the best talent available on the global market, Terry struck a chord with fans as a hard-working local lad who reached the very top of the game.
