Florida is now set to host South Alabama and Eastern Washington (Sept. 5) while hitting the road at Florida State Nov. 28 in the 2020 non-conference schedule.
This is the Hurricanes' first ABC prime-time appearance since last year's game against the Seminoles on October 8, 2016, in Miami Gardens.
The Hurricanes will head to Tallahassee looking to end a maddening streak against their rival, with Florida State winning the last seven matchups in the annual series.
But this year's matchup faced a different obstacle: a higher-profile game.
MI football's season opener against Florida will kick off at 3:30 p.m. (2:30 p.m. CDT) on September 2 on ABC. While that is a legit fear, there should be no doubt that it will be a great game between two great teams - with a decent chance that it might be the first of two games between the programs this season.
Although this is the first regular season meeting between the schools, it is the fourth time they will go head-to-head on the gridiron as the previous three contests were in bowl games.
