Senior actor's cheap comments on Girls

He said: "Women are only fit to be good partners in bed". To this many came up with quirky replies, but Chalapathi Rao's ineffable comments took everyone by surprise when he said, "Ammayilu hanikaram kadu kani. pakkalo ki paniki vastharu". Rao's statement was faced with stiff criticism on social media.

The actor, at the pre-release function of Telugu movie "Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam" recently, had passed the alleged vulgar comment on women.

Heroine of the film Rakulpreet Singh, hero Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and film producer Akkineni Nagarjuna condemned the comments of the senior actor against womenfolk. This being a Naga Chaitanya film, daddy Nagarjuna took to Twitter to condemn Rao's comments saying, "I always respect women personally and in my films/I definitely do not agree with Chalapathi Rao's derogatory comments/dinosaurs do not exist!"

A video doing the rounds of the audio release shows the woman anchor asking veteran actor Chalapathi Rao the big question: "Are women injurious to mental peace?" The movie is produced by Nagarjuna, and stars his son Naga Chaitanya.

The event at which Chalapathi made this comment, went live on a few Telugu channels.

"Respecting women is a way of life for me.The reactions shown on TV weren't for the statement made". "Apologies 4 a late response 2 #ChalapathiRao comments!wish I understood d exact meanin of it then.I condemn it n my off stmnt wil b out soon", she tweeted. Rakul, in a statement, said that she would have responded to Rao on the stage itself if she had known the meaning of what the actor had said. I got angry and I tried to give an honest answer that they aren't injurious to any man. I don't even know why the media feels what I said is so wrong. I have never put women down.
