Atletico striker Griezmann says Man Utd move is possible

On a scale of one to 10, with 10 meaning that the signing is confirmed, Greizmann said that his chances of moving to United are "six" and staying at Atletico "seven".

He later rated his odds of staying at Atletico Madrid slightly higher.

Journalist: "It's the first time you say this, right?"

However, Griezmann - who netted 16 La Liga goals and registered eight assists this season - has seen his future come intense scrutiny with a move to the Premier League a potential option.

The France worldwide has always been linked with a move to Manchester United or Real Madrid but appeared to commit his future to Atletico last week when he light-heartedly stated that he would only leave to join National Basketball Association side the New York Knicks. Playing a good game and scoring goals is not enough anymore.

Griezmann's brother, Theo, retweeted Quotidien's tweet of the minute-long clip to further fuel speculation.

Atletico are likely to be powerless over top-scorer Griezmann's ability to leave with a number of clubs willing to meet his 100 million euro (S$156 million) buyout clause. Spanish football expert Guillem Balague said Griezmann will join if United beat Ajax. However, it must be remembered that no Champions League nearly certainly means no Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann has been one of the most sought after attackers in Europe for the past few seasons, and has previously stated that his wish is to remain with Atletico.

Presenter: That's not bad as answer.

Personally, I don't think there's any chance Liverpool could compete with United for those wages while the Merseysiders may also struggle to meet his reported £89m asking price.
