Arsenal owner Kroenke says his shares in club not for sale

The 25-year-old managed to finish the game as Arsenal eased to a 2-0 win but his symptoms developed and the German global was forced to sit out Sunday's final league match due to suspected concussion.

The fans were busy chanting "Stan Kroenke, get out of our club", during the game, the players were a little sheepish as they applauded the fans on their lap pf appreciation and Wenger looked like a man who had aged 10 years in a few months.

"That's the way it goes and I have to say you have to respect every competition because a European trophy is a European trophy and I think it will give everybody confidence and everybody experience, especially the young players if they feature in this", he added.

To rub salt into Arsenal wounds, fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur rounded off their impressive season by recording the biggest away win in Premier League history, smashing Hull City 7-1 to end 11 points and 27 goals ahead of the Gunners.

Rob Holding has been one of the few bright sparks in Arsenal's season, as the young defender who Wenger snapped up from Bolton Wanderers for a reported fee of £2 million has showed maturity beyond his years when he has started for Arsenal.

That meant Arsenal missed out on a place in Europe's elite and highly lucrative Champions League for the first time in 20 years under veteran boss Wenger.

"It's been a great run of form to build up the momentum and, even though it's not got us Champions League football, at least we're going to get to the FA Cup final with a great mood and environment in the dressing room". Arsenal fans continue to sing "Stan Kroenke - get out of our club".

Instead it was a blunt and somewhat insensitive clarification three days after the leaking of Friday's news that he had turned down a £1bn offer for his 67% shareholding from the Russian-Uzbek billionaire Alisher Usmanov, himself a 30% stakeholder.

Arsenal have a potentially massive tie against Everton on the final day of the season.
