22 killed, 59 injured in "one-man terrorist attack" in Manchester

They spoke of their devastation after her mother confirmed her death to them.
Shelby Wharton, 17, told the Standard she was "kind and loving" saying: "We were all praying for her to be found safely".
"Coming out then with quite a fluid operation there were people around us". She was so nice. "It was chaotic. Everybody was running and screaming and just trying to get out".
Grande has indefinitely suspended her world tour. "It was nearly like they waited for her to go".

A mother broke down while making a desperate appeal for her missing daughter who was caught up in the Manchester Arena bomb attack.
Georgina had been a student at Runshaw College in Leyland, where she studied Health and Social Care.
Earlier winger Jesse Lingard said: "My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by last nights attack on this handsome city".
Japan's chief cabinet secretary, Yoshihide Suga, said "if this is a terrorist attack, such abhorrent acts of terrorism can not be justified for any reason, and Japan firmly condemns such an act of terrorism". Northwest Ambulance Service said 59 injured people had been taken to hospitals, and a number of "walking wounded" were treated at the scene. Given Grande's fan base, it is expected that most of those injured will be young people.
Police officers were called to reports of an explosion at 10.33pm.
Greater Manchester Police said a 23-year-old man was taken into custody in the southern part of the city on Tuesday, and that arrest did appear to be linked to the bombing.

'Her dad is actually in Manchester looking for her.
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe condemned the attack as "the most cowardly terrorism" that was aimed "specifically and knowingly" at young people.
