Nuggets center Nikola Jokic received a first-team vote

Harden joins Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and Yao Ming as the only players in team history with at least four All-NBA selections.

Hayward is in a better situation in Utah, but perhaps he gets a wandering eye for a team such as the Boston Celtics this summer.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden has been named to the All-NBA first team, the league announced Thursday.

Selected to the third team were Golden State power forward Draymond Green (134), Washington Wizards point guard John Wall (125), Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler (102), Toronto Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan (62) and Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan (54).

Former Kentucky men's basketball stars Karl-Anthony Towns and DeMarcus Cousins almost made the All-NBA Teams as well. Cousins, who was tabbed to the All-NBA Second Team in 2015 and 2016, was just behind Towns with 42 votes. The All-NBA team wouldn't get a moment to practice - not that five All-Stars need much time - but they'd be thrown to the wolves against a Warriors' lineup setting off-ball screens to an oblivion.

James had 22 points in the first half, when he also collected six assists and had three blocked shots, including a chase-down rejection of Bradley that was reminiscent of the one against Andre Iguodala in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Every media representative in my team had to take two defenders, two forwards and one center.

Most improved player: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Millwaukee Bucks; Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz; Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets.

Asked about making third team Green told reporters, "I think anytime you're on the All-NBA Team, it's special".

In a career already defined by gaudy numbers, Davis put together his best one yet. His totals in all three categories - 2,558 points, 864 rebounds, 840 assists - were career bests. It would be the third straight sweep this post-season for the defending champions, who also won the last three games of last year's final. It included getting within 11 points with less than 2 minutes to play. He also broke the franchise's single-game assists record when he had 20 versus the Bulls on March 17. Davis' player efficiency ranking was ranked fourth in the league.

The reigning National Basketball Association champions poured in 72 first-half points to lead Boston by 41 at the intermission, the biggest post-season halftime lead since the shot clock was introduced.

But the Cavs tanked March 1, going 10-14 through the end of the regular season. The winners will be announced June 26 during the NBA's first awards show.
