LG brings the budget-friendly, durable X Venture to AT&T

AT&T appears to have a thing for rugged smartphones.

LG announced a new device this morning called the X Venture.

The LG X Venture boasts a water- and dust-resistant body, and LG says it passed 14 durability tests designed for the USA military.

The X venture is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and comes with 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of memory and a microSD slot for expandable storage. Users will also find that the X Venture has NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2 support, and because it's a device meant for adventures it'll have a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera for images, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat.

Running Android Nougat, the X venture sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display, and packs "the largest smartphone battery in the AT&T lineup".

LG is calling it the X venture, and it's designed for the "on-the-go lifestyles" that so many people out there enjoy.

Sad to see the big-battery, budget-friendly LG X power2 taking so long to even hit the OEM's domestic shops, not to mention how it's still all quiet on the USA carrier front? These features include a flashlight, a barometer, an exercise tracker, a compass, weather report, and activity tracker. This phone was immersed in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes and passed with flying colors as further claimed by LG.

LG X Venture will go on sale in the USA today, available exclusively via AT&T.

LG X venture goes lives starting today in North America and will be available in parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America in the weeks to come.
