Kane wants 100 Premier League goals next season

HARRY Kane was in buoyant mood after bagging four goals in a 6-1 demolition of title holders Leicester which put him in pole position to win the coveted Golden Boot award once again.

Those goals have come from 104 efforts on goal, hitting the back of the net with nearly one in four efforts.

Kane added to Sky Sports 1: "I've been thinking a lot about getting on the scoresheet this week".

The 23-year-old England worldwide improved to 26 goals - two clear of Everton's Romelu Lukaku with one match remaining. - In all competitions, Kane has five hat-tricks this season, a haul only Cristiano Ronaldo can equal for players in the big five European leagues.

Hull have been relegated from the Premier League and have one of the worst teams in the division, meaning that Kane should be confident of scoring at least once. I am not resting on my laurels but I hope to get four more.

There has been speculation that Kane could be tempted away in the transfer window, with Manchester United among the clubs to have been linked in the past, but Pochettino says Spurs is building a project that should appeal to all of its best players.

"It's very clear. I think I told you many times that we will keep the players we want to keep and maybe sell the players that we want to sell".

"I'm now sitting at the top, but we go in with the same mentality, to make sure we win first and foremost and then score as many as I can".

"It is the first time in my professional career that I've scored four, there has been a bit of build-up in the race for the golden boot and I wanted at least one or two to put the pressure on - but to get four is fantastic".

Kane scored twice in the first half and completed his hat-trick midway through the second period, with Mauricio Pochettino's side celebrating their best top-flight finish since 1963 in fine style. "To do that is an incredible feeling", he added.

It took just eleven minutes before Spurs pulled ahead, when Harry Kane scored.

"I honestly don't think they would swap them".

"Guys like Dele, like Harry".

"He will try to keep going in the next game and try to finish in the best way".

With Kane leading the charge, there's no Spurs have the quality to be champions.
