Harden, James top All-NBA team; George, Hayward shut out

Westbrook had 42 triple-doubles this season, breaking Robertson's single-season record of 41 set in 1961-62 (when Robertson averaged a triple-double). With 11 First Team selections (including 10 straight) to go with two Second Team nods, James has made an All-NBA Team in each of the last 13 seasons.

Finalists for other awards, including MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man, most improved player and Coach of the Year will be announced Friday night.

The All-NBA Second Team included Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo of Greece, Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas, Gobert and two members of the Warriors, guard Stephen Curry and forward Kevin Durant. In winning his second scoring title in three seasons, the 6-3 guard paced the National Basketball Association in games with at least 20 points (72), 30 points (44), 40 points (18) and 50 points (four). Every year there were teams going and signing guys to million-dollar contracts to compete against them, and he was just dominant, winning three championships, and he only had, what, one MVP? James is averaging 34.3 points, second-most in the postseason, on almost 57 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point range to go with 8.5 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.5 blocks. The 2012 national player of the year had 49 double-doubles this year with the New Orleans Pelicans, which was tied for the eighth most in the league.

James Jones, James' longtime teammate in both Miami and Cleveland said the timing of the finalists being released was a rather transparent attempt by the league to drum-up interest in its first televised awards show.

James racked up 30 points, four rebounds and seven assists before he was withdrawn at the end of the third quarter but the game was over as a contest long before his departure as the Cavs took a tight hold on the best-of-seven series.

LeBron James has been eliminated from NBA MVP voting. The winners will be announced June 26 in NY during the NBA's first awards show. Most NBA players will tell you that their best improvements will come during the offseason, and Wall will finally have that chance.

Leonard has won the last two years and Green will be hoping it's his time for everything he does for the Warriors, including a game this season where he had a triple-double that didn't even include points. Spoelstra guided the Miami Heat to a 41-41 finish and almost into the playoffs after they started 11-30.

According to NBA.com player tracking data, Green limited opponents to 44 percent shooting at the rim, behind only Rudy Gobert and San Antonio's?

A European player will win this award.

"I look at LeBron like Shaquille O'Neal; I think every year he's the MVP and you can give him the award every year if you wanted to", Lue said.
