Every Bollywood fan and whole Big B Fandom was amazed to find he is playing a role of 102 year old father to Rishi Kapoor, who is 75 year old in the movie.
Both Bachchan and Kapoor are no strangers to playing overly aged characters, with Kapoor hitting a chord with the audience with his portrayal of a 90-year-old fun-loving grandfather in Kapoor and Sons.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the first look of the film on Twitter.
Rishi tweeted, "Wonderful to work again with the Legendary Amitabh Bachchan".
Amar Akbar Anthony, which is based on the long lost family theme, is about three brothers separated from each other in childhood, and raised in three different faiths, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity.
Amitabh Bachchan, of late, has played a series of old, eccentric men. He himself expressed his excitement about the movie featuring two legends- "Amitji and Rishiji are collaborating after 26 years". Bachchan looks naughty and Kapoor a shade prim. "We connected instantly!" Rishi tweeted. The actor shared a different picture from the sets and wrote, "T 2429 - Since the media has put out a leaked picture of "102 not out". might as well give you the real one".
We hear that the team has been shooting in Mumbai and will continue to do so until the end of the month. The movie is supposed to be a romantic comedy-drama based on the plot of a Gujarati play by Soumya Joshi.
