You Can Now Get Xbox Live Gold for Free

This weekend, Microsoft is inviting all Xbox Live members to play online with their friends for free on any game they own. Multiplayer gaming is usually restricted to Gold members only, but Microsoft is dropping that limitation for the next few days so that other members can "experience one of the most popular benefits of Xbox Live Gold membership". In addition to that, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be free to play through the same dates.

To get involved with the Multiplayer All-Access event you just need to log in, and obviously download Minecraft if you haven't already. Amazon's deal may end at any moment, so we recommend taking advantage of the deal now and then using your Gold Membership digital code after Microsoft's free weekend.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition supports up to four player split-screen and up to eight players online. How about trying out one of the best selling games on Xbox? That means you get 3 extra months - a $25 value - for free.
