Xiaomi Mi Max 2 coming out on May 25

On the design front, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will sport an all-metal body with the fingerprint sensor on the back of the device, mimicking Xiaomi Mi Max.

Xiaomi is now all set to launch its successor Mi Max 2. The super-sized phablet will be reported in China on May 25, as per the organization's most recent teaser on the Chinese person to social networking site Weibo.

If your memory serves you correctly, you will know that when Xiaomi previously announced its Mi Max, it featured a massive 6.4-inch display that gave it the advantage to sport a very big battery capacity. However, it seems that at the time of the presentation of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 we may discover the smartphone being displayed with an updated battery of 5,000 mAh, a difference of 150 mAh compared to last year's model.

Camera wise, the Mi Max 2 will house a Sony IMX378 sensor with a larger aperture size of f/2.2.

Since the Mi Max 2 will be launched in China, it won't be released in India or other global markets all the while. Few rumors also suggest the Mi Max 2 to come with the newly announced Snapdragon 660 SoC that comes with Adreno 512 GPU. One could be priced at CNY 1499 (roughly Rs 14000) and sport 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 626 processor. It won't come to the Europe or the United States but still it would have significant place in other markets. On top of that both devices will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 (or MIUI 9?). At the launch funtion the Xiaomi Max 2 launch rumours were spread. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the Mi Max came with USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Infrared, FM, 3G and 4G and sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The rear camera will be capable of shooting videos at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2's launch has been affirmed.
