Pres. Trump assails naming of counsel as 'witch hunt'

President Donald Trump has, once again, taken to Twitter to discuss what's going on in current politics.

The appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller to oversee the agency's Russian Federation investigation will aid President Do.

In another tweet Thursday morning, he claims, "With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel (sic) appointed!".

After the Justice Department appointed former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Robert Mueller as special counsel tasked with the chore of overseeing the probe into the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, Trump tweeted, once again, pointing the finger to his former contender, Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama.

Referring to the special counsel recently appointed to investigate Russian meddling in the USA presidential election, including any ties between Moscow and members of Trump's campaign team, Macro said "We're a nation of laws".

"Look at the way I've been treated lately, especially by the media", he said. His frequently echos the arguments made on the show in his tweets shortly after they air.

After a few days of what were generally calm, pre-planned tweets remarking on recent meetings with world leaders and other official visits, the Donald Trump we've come to know returned with a vengeance Thursday morning. "There were no calls for impeachment, there were no investigations".

"I have full confidence he will conduct an independent, thorough and fair investigation", he said.
