Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has had the golden touch in his first season in the English Premier League, all the way through to the title-clinching game.
Chelsea beat West Brom 1-0 at the Hawthorns thanks to a late strike from Batshuayi, his first league goal since 20th August, to claim the Premier League title for the Blues.
Chelsea - the league leader since early November - has won 28 of its 36 games, including nine of its last 11 matches, to resist a late title challenge by Tottenham.
That would set them up ideally for their bid to complete a double with victory over Arsenal in the May 27th FA Cup final.
But not to win it in his first season, upstaging the likes of Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) Jurgen Klopp (Liveprool) and former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho (Manchester United) in the process. We had a lot of critics, everybody in the team, a lot of laughter at us. Second-placed Spurs are 10 points behind Chelsea with three games remaining. "We've done it twice in three years".
Batshuayi, the understudy to Diego Costa, had only been on the pitch for seven minutes when he scored the winning goal - his first in the league since August.
The striker, a £33million signing from Marseille last summer, had been demonstrating fragile confidence.
It will be very tough to compete but we feel we can be strong next season, not just in the Premier League but the Champions League as well.
Batshuayi is yet to start a Premier League game, but may now get his chance against Watford on Monday or Sunderland on the final day of the campaign.
It would not be wrong to say that Chelsea deserved to lift the title this season.
"We work for [the fans]".
"Michy hasn't played as much football as he would want but to score the victor is great for him". "It's good. It's the best day for chelsea today", said Batshuayi, who arrived from Marseille previous year in a £33.2 million transfer.
"After the fairytale of my Leicester, this splendid Chelsea adventure".
CHELSEA are the champions - but how have each of their players performed this season?
Cahill, like Conte, turned his attention to the Wembley date with Arsenal. "And we can improve". It's felt like it's been so close but so far away. It was the key moment for us because every single player found in this system the best for them. Let us know by voting below...
