Jose Mourinho content with Man Utd's win at Celta Vigo

Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly have all been named in the Europa League Team of the Week for their performances in Manchester United's 1-0 win over Celta Vigo.

Manchester United carry a one-goal lead into the return leg at Old Trafford next week.

Mourinho continued: "We tried to win the match".

Jose Mourinho has confirmed his plans for this weekend's game against Arsenal after the 1-0 victory in the Europa League against Celta Vigo.

"He worked really hard and created them problems", Mourinho said of Rashford. "He loves it. Sometimes he stays behind after training to practise free-kicks".

It is a bitter blow to both Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho and the player, who would most likely have started the Premier League match at Arsenal on Sunday.

"I think if you ask his team-mates, they would probably prefer to play with Rashford up-front", he said.

"I am going to change my team to play against Arsenal, so I think (Wenger) will be really happy with me", Mourinho told reporters.

Celta, playing in its first major European semifinal, lost for the first time in its last six European games.

However, he added all the good work of the current campaign will amount to nothing if Manchester United fail to earn the right to compete in next season's Champions League.

But Lingard believes the way he responded with a goal against Celta Vigo shows that nothing can faze a player who has still only made 66 senior appearances.

He said: 'Sergio [Alvarez, Celta goalkeeper] had a couple of very important saves and the way we started the game and controlled the game in the first half, I think we deserve a better result. To get to the final we have to play just as well at Old Trafford in the second leg because they always score away.

"Last year we scored three goals away against Atletico Madrid to go through (in the Copa del Rey) and their defence is very strong, and this year we won 2-1 at the Bernabeu and they are nearly in the Champions League final".
