'Deadliest Catch' star Sig Hansen arrested after alleged assault of Uber driver

Deadliest Catch star Sig Hansen has apologized for an altercation with an Uber driver that ended up in his arrest.

Hansen was arrested in Shoreline hours later and booked into King County Jail for assault and property destruction. I owe a bunch of people apologies, first and foremost to our Uber driver, who was just trying to get us home safely. "I have no excuse, and accept responsibility for my actions".

Police then went to the Hansen residence as they described him as "obviously intoxicated" as the reality star explained that he was celebrating Norwegian Independence Day.

Police said they found a foot-sized dent in the fender and some spit on the driver's headrest when they examined the auto.

'I hope I can make that apology in person.

According to the police report, Hansen and his wife, stepdaughter and son-in-law were picked up by the unidentified Uber driver from the 2200 block of Northwest Market Street sometime after 2 a.m. Not to mention, after getting out of the vehicle the sea captain also kicked the unnamed victim's auto.

After the driver refused to take the group to its destination, and dropped them off in the 5800 block of 20th Avenue Northwest, Hansen, who appeared drunk, got out and kicked the auto, Jamieson said.

Police said Hansen continued to argue, and eventually it took two officers to pull him away from the door and handcuff him. Apparently, Sig tried to offer the driver $100 to continue the trip but the Uber employee refused as it's against company policy.

Hansen is in the midst of a separate allegation from his estranged daughter that he sexually abused her when she was a toddler.
