WhatsApp Wednesday Malfunction upsets the users across globe !!

There was no statement from the company regarding the reported technical issues immediately available.

This comes after two-weeks when people who use the app had faced similar issues, but for a short period of time.

According to monitoring website Down Detector, hundreds of people complained about the outage from Malaysia to Spain, which appeared to have started on late Wednesday evening.

Down Detector wrote: "Whatsapp is having issues since 22:40". Embarrassingly for Facebook, the social media giant that owns the messaging service, its own apps went down less than a week later. Earlier this year, a message was sent to millions of users saying that the messaging service would become chargeable.

According to The Express, as soon as the message is received on a phone, fans of the popular app are then asked to share the message with 12 friends to activate and verify the new custom colour feature.

WhatsApp, which was bought by Facebook in 2014 for nearly $20 billion, is estimated to have over one billion users worldwide. In addition, users from Britain, Belgium, besides the Netherlands too have come up with the malfunctioning.

WhatsApp is the most preferred mode of communication these days. The developers want to assure users that their app doesn't try to mimic any of these functionalities offered by full-fledged payment applications. Not just WhatsApp, photo-sharing app Instagram was also reported to have stopped working on Tuesday night. This makes it the fastest growing app category, accounting for 44 per cent of all mobile app time.
